How this converter works
The number to keep in your head is 1.356: one pound-foot is 1.3558 N·m. A spec of 80 lb-ft is 108.5 N·m, and a wheel nut at 120 N·m is 88.5 lb-ft. Small fasteners are often given in pound-inches instead, twelve times smaller — mixing those up over-torques a bolt by an order of magnitude.
Older Japanese and European manuals use kgf·m, which is 9.807 N·m. A figure like "11 kgf·m" is 107.9 N·m, close enough to the 80 lb-ft example above to show how one tightening spec travels between three unit systems.

Questions
What is 100 N·m in lb-ft?
73.7562 lb-ft, or 10.1972 kgf·m.
Is torque the same as energy since both are N·m?
The units look alike but the quantities differ — torque is force applied at a distance, energy is force through a distance. They are never interchangeable.
My manual says 25 kgf·m. What should I set?
